TEACHING LANGUAGE: HOW TO?

When giving a class, the language teacher must take into account all the different aspects that may or may not help the students acquire such language, like the availability of resources, the classroom arrangement, the number of students, the many language learning/teaching methods and theories the teacher could use; but most importantly, the teacher must know her/his audience, so as to make the most appropiate choices in the language classroom.
What aspects can you identify from the class portrayed in the cartoon above?

What language learning method do you think the teacher is using? Why?
In what way, does the cartoon relates to the theories we studied in class?

first steps...

Hello world! I am an English as a Foreign Language teacher traineé from the Instituto Pedagógico de Caracas and I am now having my first experiences as an EFL teacher, of course this experiences have been deeply enriched by the course EFL Teaching Methodology which I am taking at the moment. Moreover, this blog was inspired by that course as an attempt to discuss the actual praxis, the real implementation of all the different language teaching methods we talk about in class . I hope you guys like the blog and find it useful; as I said, this blog is not to explain the theory one more time but to provide our own knowledge on the subject that we have acquired both by the praxis and the study of the theory.
